AZ80A-T5 AZ80A-F Magnesium alloy plate sheet block disc fine flatness cut-to-size
AZ80A is a wrought magnesium base alloy containing aluminium, zinc and manganese. Increased strength
is obtained by artificial aging from the as-fabricated form.
AZ80A has a fine controlled microstructure for improved forging performance and consistent mechanical properties of the forged part.
AZ80A forgings can be used where pressure tightness or machinability are required. That parts are dimensionally stable during and after machining is also an important design consideration.
Forgings in AZ80A find application in high strength parts for satellites, helicopter gearboxes and rotor
hubs, bicycle frames, roadwheels, missile frames and interstage fairings, brake housings and landing gear
struts.

Magnesium alloys have traditionally been specified by designers because of their favorable strength to weight ratios. Magnesium is approximately two thirds the density of aluminium and a quarter that of steel. Some of the more recently developed magnesium alloys have also improved resistance to corrosion and better all round mechanical properties, especially at elevated temperature.
The growing numbers of available magnesium alloys are divided into two groups: casting alloys and wrought alloys. Wrought product forms (described below) include both extruded sections and rolled sheet/plate along with tubes and forgings. Various heat treatments are used to attain maximum strength and machining of most magnesium alloys is excellent.
The specifications and alloy grades which XYCM can be complied with are as following Table:

AZ31B is a wrought magnesium base alloy with good room-temperature strength and ductility combined with corrosion resistance and weldability. Increased strength is obtained by strain hardening with a subsequent partial anneal (H24 and H26 tempers). Our sheet and plate’s size range is:
Sheet: thickness from 0.5mm to 6mm; Max. width is 600mm; Max. length is 6000mm;
Plate: thickness from 6 mm to 200mm; Max. width is 2000mm; Max. length is 6000mm;
Block: We can supply precut blocks according to customer’s requirements.
APPLICATIONS
Sheet and plate in AZ31B find application in medium strength service at temperatures below 150°C. Diverse uses including aerospace, aircraft, concrete tools, 3C (cell phone / camera / computer), speaker cones and textile machinery can all benefit from light weight AZ31B.
AZ31B is non-magnetic and has high electrical and thermal conductivity filling the requirements for RFI and EMI shielding in the electronics and computer industries.
Superplastic forming of AZ31B sheet at elevated temperatures allows production of a wide variety of intricate parts for automotive uses. Monocoque construction utilizing formed sheet can be adapted to many commercial applications.
